Field Service Technician
We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of power generation and distributed energy systems. This is a hands-on field position suited for a technician with a strong electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical background who enjoys working directly with customers and complex equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience servicing generators, power generation equipment, CHP/cogeneration systems, microgrids, gas engines, or other industrial energy systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of power generation equipment.
- Install, start up, commission, and test new equipment and systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, controls, and instrumentation issues.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Use diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify equipment problems.
- Communicate directly with customers to understand issues and provide technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Technical training, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or industrial technology.
- Experience working with power generation, generators, industrial equipment, CHP, microgrids, or similar systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
