Our organization is in search of a Full-Time Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU) Physician to join our dedicated team.

Ideal candidates will hold Board certification or be eligible in Pediatric Critical Care, as well as being Board Eligible/Certified in Pediatric Cardiology, or possess one year of advanced training in Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care. The role involves caring for pediatric patients with high acuity following cardiac surgery, as well as those suffering from advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, ventricular assist devices, heart transplants, and complex dysrhythmias. A strong passion for clinical service, education, mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration is essential. PCICU Attendings are integral members of the Pediatric Critical Care Division and collaborate closely with PICU attendings and various subspecialties.

• PCICU Attendings are required to demonstrate procedural proficiency in intubation, arterial line placement, central line insertion, and PICC line placement, along with other standard pediatric procedures.

• There are opportunities to engage in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects.

• The PCICU team comprises Intensivists, six PCCM fellows, specialized PCICU Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), pediatric residents, medical students, and over 25 full-time nursing staff, along with dedicated respiratory therapists, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, music therapists, and child life specialists.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

• Completion of a three-year Pediatric residency and fellowship program accredited by ACGME.

• Possession of a New York State Medical License (or eligibility to obtain one).

• Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care.

• Must meet the eligibility criteria for an appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $270,000 and $350,000, excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
