Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Indianapolis, IN. This full-time position offers the opportunity to engage in diverse legal matters, providing extensive experience and mentorship. The role involves working with clients from Indiana and nationwide, primarily focusing on litigation, commercial, and insurance defense cases. Duties Conduct legal research and draft motions. Prepare for and participate in depositions. Represent clients in court proceedings. Explore alternative dispute resolution methods. Manage a caseload of commercial and insurance defense cases. Requirements Licensed to practice law in Indiana. 0-3 years of experience in commercial litigation, probate, or insurance personal injury cases. Ability to manage 20-30 cases with minimal supervision. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the bar, licensed to practice in Indiana. Skills Strong legal research skills, proficiency in Lexis-Nexis or similar platforms. Excellent legal drafting abilities and attention to detail. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
