Take on a unique opportunity to support students as a School Psychologist on a PRN, as-needed contract. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact within a small, close-knit charter school community serving just 15 to 16 students in grades K-8. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the academic and emotional development of each learner.
Preferred Qualifications & Background:
- Current and valid School Psychologist credential or license in California
- Previous experience conducting school-based psychological assessments and evaluations
- Strong understanding of K-8 academic and behavioral needs
- Skilled in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including SLPs and OTs
- Effective communicator, able to connect with both students and staff
- Experience in writing thorough, compliant reports for IEP and assessment meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete psychoeducational assessments and evaluations as required
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input and recommendations
- Partner with the school’s SLP and OT for a unified approach to student support
- Prepare high-quality reports and documentation in line with school and state standards
- Offer consultative guidance to teachers and families regarding student needs
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in every aspect of your work
