Compensation Analyst

Compensation AnalystJoin a high-growth organization as their Compensation Analyst and help build the Total Rewards Function from the ground up. This role combines the analytical rigor of traditional compensation work with the opportunity to support the design of compensation structures that will shape the organization's future growth.Position Overview: The Compensation Analyst will support the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs. This role partners closely with Total Rewards leadership to analyze compensation data, maintain systems, support annual compensation processes, and help build compensation frameworks and policies that will scale with the organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a builder's mindset and thrives in environments where they can create structure and drive continuous improvement.Worksite Location: Hybrid opportunity in the Twin Cities northwest metro.Base Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (dependent on experience).Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and additional employee wellness and development offerings.Roles & Responsibilities:Conduct job evaluations and market pricing analyses to ensure roles are appropriately benchmarked and competitively positioned.Participate in and manage compensation survey submissions while analyzing compensation market data to support pay decisions.Support annual compensation programs including merit increases, incentive planning, and compensation review cycles.Maintain and audit compensation data within the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to evaluate new hire offers, promotions, transfers, and equity adjustments.Prepare compensation analyses, dashboards, reports, and recommendations for HR and business leaders.Provide guidance and support on compensation-related questions and pay decisions.Support compliance efforts related to pay transparency, wage regulations, FLSA classifications, and compensation audits.Assist with the implementation, configuration, testing, and optimization of compensation planning tools and systems.Assist in developing compensation philosophies, governance processes, policies, and career leveling frameworks.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Skills & Experience:2-5+ years of experience in compensation, compensation analysis, or a related HR analytics role.Strong understanding of compensation principles including market pricing, job evaluation, pay equity, salary structures, incentive programs, and FLSA classifications.Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Paycom, Paylocity, or similar systems.Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including data analysis and modeling capabilities.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Strong communication skills with the ability to explain compensation concepts to diverse audiences.Ability to thrive in an evolving environment and create structure where processes are still being developed.Preferred Skills & Experience:Experience participating in compensation surveys such as Radford, Mercer, WTW, or Culpepper.Experience helping build compensation structures, pay bands, or job architectures from the ground up.Experience within startup, high-growth, or rapidly evolving organizations.Familiarity with compensation planning software such as Pave, OpenComp, CompTrak, PayScale, beqom, or similar platforms.Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or progress toward certification.Experience supporting pay transparency and compensation compliance initiatives.About Versique: Versique: /ver-seek/ adj. being both versatile and unique; n. a high-performance recruiting firm specializing in executive leadership search, direct hire, and interim hiring solutions.Versique Executive, Professional, & Interim Recruiting is a locally owned and operated hiring and placement firm based in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
