Job Title: Accounts Payable Representative
Location: Novi, MI (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote *Subject to change)
Salary:$65,000 / year
Employment Type:Full-Time, Direct Hire
We are currently seeking an experienced **Accounts Payable Representative** for an automotive manufacturing company located in Novi, MI. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounts payable and general accounting, with previous experience in the automotive industry. **Key Responsibilities:*** Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve any PO (Purchase Order) discrepancies.
* Execute vendor payments and maintain accurate payment records.
* Perform General Ledger (GL) and corporate credit card reconciliations.
* Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment statuses and discrepancies.
* Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Accounting Manager as needed. **Qualifications (Requirements):*** 2+ years of professional experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting.
* Previous experience in the automotive industry is strictly required (experience with a Japanese automotive supplier is highly preferred).
* Must have valid U.S. work authorization (Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this role).
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
* Experience with Plex (ERP system) is a strong plus.
* Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required. **Work Environment:**
* Currently operating on a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote).
* *Please note: Employees may be required to work in the office 5 days a week during the initial training period, and the hybrid schedule is subject to change to full-time in-office in the future.*
