Therefore, we are looking for an engaged seasoned professional in the role of System Administrator who can make an immediate impact. The candidate must have strong organizational skills, be task/schedule oriented, proven project management successes, and ability to work successfully in a fast paced, complex work environment. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and polished professional capable of prioritizing work, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills, professional communication skills, flexibility and teamwork.

Job Responsibilities

Some job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administering and problem-solving issues on multiple Linux platforms (RHEL and CENTOS)
• Building scripts in ansible, bash and other to automate services inside of Linux instances
• Ability to automate cloud services in AWS and Azure for processing, networking, storage, security and other resources
• Ability to support help desk tickets as they come up and solve technical issues rapidly for enterprise deployments
• Ability to work in development and production environments with configuration management, documentation, and solid communication
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as a team member
• Lead brainstorming sessions to gather requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience in related field
• Position requires an active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance
• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in related field

Experience and Skills:

• At least five (5) years of experience in Linux System Administration
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically think through problem situations
• Linux Kernel tunables knowledge - security, network (TCP, UDP), and memory
• Strong knowledge of design, implementation, and support of networked systems and technologies such routers, switches, file servers, DNS, and LDAP
• Strong technical background in DevOps with experience working in AWS or Azure
• Experience architecting and supporting highly available and highly scalable infrastructure
• Solutions and client service-oriented, with an emphasis on creativity and relationships
• Process orientation, capable of creating new processes, or significantly redesigning existing processes to align with hanging business requirements
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate new information and understand complex topics
• Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity
• Ability to work in a team environment with a high sense of urgency
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Team Awareness Kit (TAK) or similar geospatial tools
• Experience with Confluence, and Jira tools
