Outpatient Therapist

Role Description The Outpatient Therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy to youth and families in an on-site setting located in Hampton, VA. This part-time role includes conducting intake assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards. The therapist will coordinate care with case managers, schools, and community partners, and participate in case consultations and team meetings. Day-to-day responsibilities also include crisis intervention as needed, collaboration with caregivers to support treatment goals, and adherence to ethical and professional practice guidelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to create, implement, and monitor client-centered care plans. Candidates should possess skills in Social Work and Family Therapy to support individuals and families using a systems-based and strengths-focused approach. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Psychology to apply evidence-based interventions and clinical judgment in outpatient settings. Master’s degree in Counseling or a related behavioral health field required; eligible licensure preferred. Experience providing outpatient therapy to youth and families, including assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions--internship experience considered. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and non-discriminatory practice.
