We are proud that Air Techniques represents superior quality to dealers and dentists worldwide.Responsible for leading facility and maintenance operations to ensure buildings, production equipment, infrastructure, and related systems operate safely, efficiently, reliably, and with minimal disruption. The role combines technical maintenance leadership, preventive maintenance planning, budgeting, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Lead, train, supervise, and manage maintenance personnel; assign priorities and provide performance feedback.Develop and execute preventive maintenance procedures and schedules for production equipment, building systems, and facilities to minimize downtime and extend asset life.Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production machinery and facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and related trades.Conduct and/or coordinate regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems; identify issues and recommend repairs, upgrades, or corrective actions.Prepare, monitor, and control the maintenance budget; track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.Order and manage maintenance materials, tools, parts, shop equipment, and supplies as needed.Coordinate and oversee outside contractors and vendors, including specialized maintenance, repair, renovation, and facility improvement work.Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable health, safety, legal, regulatory, and quality requirements; promote a strong safety culture.Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment performance history, inspections, repairs, and work orders using computerized maintenance systems or methods.Respond promptly to urgent or emergency maintenance needs to minimize operational disruption.Partner with Production and other departments to support maintenance needs, facility improvements, and operational continuity.Guide maintenance staff in troubleshooting and repairs and provide hands-on technical support when needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Work Experience Requirements:5-10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, industrial, or facility maintenance environment.Strong experience with equipment repair and building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Supervisory or maintenance management experience leading technical teams.Experience with computerized building or maintenance management systems.Familiarity with 440V and 480V three-phase electrical systems.Knowledge of hazardous waste handling and disposal techniques is desirable.Core Skill Requirements:Strong leadership, team development, task prioritization, and project management skills.Effective troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with employees, vendors, contractors, and management.Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and related building systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets, vendors, preventive maintenance programs, and emergency repairs.Proficiency with maintenance management software, inventory systems, and record keeping.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent.Electrical certification.HVAC certification.Trade school training in HVAC and electrical.It is the policy of Air Techniques to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, gender, citizenship, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual preference, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
