In this role, you will provide advanced life support and critical care transport while maintaining professionalism and upholding our core values.Key Responsibilities:Provide pre-hospital and inter-facility medical care in emergency and non-emergency situations.Perform advanced life support (ALS) procedures, including airway management, IV therapy, medication administration, and cardiac monitoring.Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and emergency medical supplies in a state of readiness.Work closely with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient transfers.Document patient assessments, interventions, and transport details accurately and efficiently.Uphold company values by demonstrating integrity in decision-making, excellence in patient care, and an unwavering commitment to safety and professionalism.Qualifications and Education Requirements:Graduation from high school or equivalentMust be at least 19 years old or older at time of hire for insurance purposesSuccessful completion of NR Paramedic certificationCurrent NR Paramedic and State Paramedic (or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire)Current AHA BLS CPR, ACLS, PALS or ability to obtain within 10 days of hireAbility to provide quality patient care within scope of practiceKnowledge of all state protocols for a ParamedicValid photo IDAbility to pass a lift test of 150 – 200 poundsAbility to pass a pre-employment drug testAbility to pass a pre-employment background checkAbility to read, speak, and write EnglishPreferred Skills:Knowledge of pumps, vents, and monitors utilized in EMS careKnowledge of all state protocols for a ParamedicExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of medical terminology and writing patient care reportsProblem solvingAbility to remain calm under pressurePrevious EMS experienceOur benefits package includes:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsLife, short/long term disability, accident, and critical illness insurancesPaid vacation and sick timePremium pay for holidays401(k) with employer matchWe'd love to have you join the AEC Medical Transport & Rapid Response team!
