The Big Task

The New Member Advisor is responsible for driving new member acquisition and expanding Nexstar’s membership base. This role focuses on identifying and engaging prospective members, understanding their business needs, and guiding them through the decision-making process by demonstrating the value and impact of a Nexstar membership. The role focuses on identifying and engaging prospective members, understanding their business needs, and connecting them with coaching, training, and development solutions that support their growth.

The New Member Advisor serves as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process, guiding prospects through the sales process and demonstrating the value of a Nexstar membership. Success in this role is measured by new member acquisition, pipeline development, relationship cultivation, and overall contribution to membership growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

New Member Acquisition

• Prospect, identify, and engage qualified businesses that align with Nexstar’s ideal member profile.
• Generate new business opportunities through outbound outreach, referrals, tradeshows, events, and lead follow-up.
• Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospective members' goals, challenges, and growth opportunities.
• Present the value of Nexstar membership, including coaching, training, peer networking, and business development resources, in a consultative manner aligned to the prospect's goals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective members to establish trust and credibility.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and opportunities within HubSpot,
• Track outreach activities, sales progress, and membership conversion metrics.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to generate leads and grow the sales pipeline
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Nexstar’s coaching, training, and professional development offerings and industry trends to effectively engage prospects and drive revenue.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of successful service-based sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and build long-term member relationships.
• Proven success in a consultative, relationship-driven sales environment.
• Consistent track record of meetings and exceeding sales quotas and performance targets.
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to achieve both short-term objectives and long-term strategic goals.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
• Strong active listening skills and a talent for uncovering customer challenges, needs, and business priorities.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the sales process.
• Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and manage multiple opportunities and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Experience utilizing CRM platforms, preferably HubSpot, to manage pipelines, track activities, and drive sales performance.
• Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and dependability, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and commitments.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ), with the ability to quickly build rapport, adapt communication styles, navigate complex situations, and effectively engage diverse personalities.
• Positive, collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, performance-oriented sales culture.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and accountable, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of results.

Travel Requirements

• Travel is heavier during trade show season (shoulder seasons = Fall/Spring), otherwise minimal. Approximately 15-25 days a year.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time when not traveling.
• Hybrid role with 2 days per week in office

Salary

• $110,000- $115,000 base salary
• Commission eligible
• Company bonus eligible
