Site The Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Corporation Job Summary We're offering a $750 sign‑on bonus. As a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) you will assist patients with activities of daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating, and take vital signs. You work under licensed personnel and support patients with recovery goals. Responsibilities Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs accurately and within established time frames. Completes all documentation in the medical record as required. Interacts with patients and their families effectively. Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks: bathing, dressing, toilet use, and feeding. Assists with turning and repositioning patients in bed and moving them between bed and wheelchair. Listens to any health concerns and reports them to nurses. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified; Certified Medical Assistant (National Certification) preferred; Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Massachusetts) preferred; Nursing Assistant (LNA – New Hampshire) preferred. Experience 1–2 years of experience working in patient care or elder care preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong patient/customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
