Job Title Python Developer – Financial Modeling Location McLean, VA (100% Onsite) Contract Type Contract Only Duration Through Dec 31, 2026 Openings 2 Interview Process 2 Rounds (MS Teams Video + Onsite Interview) Visa Open to C2C Candidates Required Skills 5+ years of professional Python development experience Strong backend and frontend development experience Advanced Python coding skills with ability to solve complex coding problems Experience with financial modeling / forecasting models Strong SQL skills including complex query analysis and optimization Hands‑on experience with Snowflake data warehouse and APIs Experience building REST APIs and web applications Strong knowledge of Python frameworks: Django, FastAPI Experience with Python libraries: NumPy, SciPy, Scikit‑learn Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain financial forecasting models using Python. Analyze, convert, and optimize complex SQL queries to support new data sources. Build applications to source securitization data from enterprise data warehouses. Support large‑scale data migration initiatives while ensuring data integrity. Work with Snowflake for data warehousing, migration, and analytics. Design and develop REST-based applications and integrations. Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, model implementation teams, and technology partners. Build scalable solutions following architecture design patterns and best practices. Technical Environment Python Django FastAPI REST APIs NumPy SciPy Scikit‑learn Frontend React 18 Material UI Database / Data Snowflake SQL Server Sybase MySQL SQL & NoSQL Databases DevOps / Tools Git / Bitbucket / GitLab Jenkins Docker Jira Gradle PyTest / UnitTest / Mocking Frameworks Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting financial institutions or investment banking environments. Background in financial data modeling, securitization data, or corporate data warehouses. Experience with ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration. Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and scalable application design. Ability to independently drive technical solutions and collaborate across teams.
