Electro-Mechanical Technician

Position Summary Assemble, test, maintain, or calibrate automated servo‑mechanical or electro‑mechanical equipment. May perform complex electrical wiring and/or mechanical assembly of robotics equipment/machines. Essential Functions Assemble fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists Mechanical assembly requiring fitting, alignment and adjustments to close tolerances Perform mechanical alterations Use hand and power tools for assembly Use of test equipment to perform functional testing Read and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics/wiring diagrams Test performance of electromechanical assemblies using test instruments (oscilloscopes and multimeters) Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly Inspect parts for surface defects Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies using hand tools Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments Position Qualifications Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Associate’s Degree (two‑year college or technical school) preferred, Field of Study: Electronics or Machining. Experience: 1+ year(s) in machine repair and building; Automotive repairs and troubleshooting.
