What You’ll Do Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies Drive implementation of tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and PDCA Analyze operational data to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities Partner with plant leadership and frontline employees to implement process improvements Develop and maintain visual management systems and standard work Support development of efficient material flow and production processes (PFEP, cell design) Conduct shop floor observations across shifts to assess performance and identify gaps Facilitate problem‑solving through root cause analysis and structured improvement plans Train and coach employees on continuous improvement tools and principles Track and report progress against performance metrics and savings targets What Makes This Role Different High Impact Role – Direct influence on plant performance and operational results Development Opportunity – Designed as a growth role over two years into broader leadership Cross‑Functional Exposure – Work across all levels of the organization Hands‑On Improvement – Blend of shop floor engagement and strategic problem‑solving What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a driven, collaborative individual with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial environments Experience with Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools Strong communication and ability to influence across all levels of the organization Analytical mindset with strong organizational and time‑management skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field Experience implementing Lean systems (Kanban, PFEP, visual management) Background in cross‑functional collaboration and project‑based work Exposure to plant leadership interactions and operational strategy Work Environment Significant time spent on the shop floor in an industrial environment Exposure to equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions Physical activity including walking, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs) Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety standards Site Specific Details Location: Miles City, Montana Shift: Primarily First Shift, 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday Base Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 Compensation & Benefits: We know this role requires skill, flexibility, and commitment, and we compensate accordingly.
