We’re looking for a detail-oriented and people-focused Payroll Specialist to join our amazing team! In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with the Payroll team to issue and distribute paychecks, manage direct deposits and payroll deductions, and generate essential reports.

You’ll be a go-to person for employee paycheck inquiries—providing clear, friendly, and respectful support every step of the way. Collaboration is key, and you’ll partner with other departments to make sure we have all payroll data on time.

Additionally, you’ll take the lead in processing payroll for our self-direction group, ensuring that every detail of employee data is accurate and up to date.

• Responds to employee questions and help them in navigating their data in Paylocity.

• Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data.

• Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, and other deductions.

• Reviews HR Actions and process terminations.

• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, and deductions.

• Assures that data is accurately recorded in order to correctly determine employer’s social security, unemployment and workers’ compensation liability.

• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.

• Ensures proper payroll operation by following policies and procedures; reporting a need for change, if observed.

• Maintains employee confidence and keep information confidential.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelors preferred.

• A minimum of one year of payroll or related experience

Preferred skills:

• Experience with Paylocity

• Strong mathematical and data entry skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proficiency with payroll software

• The ability to work under pressure/a deadline

• Solid verbal communication skills

• Superb organizational skills
