Your impact
As a key member of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the Project Manager and/or Technical Lead – planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from (but not limited to) the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Among the many types of projects led by this team are pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and stormwater management in addition to transportation engineering projects from roadway modernization, , and complete streets and multimodal improvements. You will be leading a multidiscipline team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies. Also, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach early and mid-career engineers and designers and to be mentored by senior staff. Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering • A minimum of 5 years of experience in direct management for planning and design of small to large projects and project teams • Hawaii Professional Engineer (P.E.)  License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)  • Demonstrated experience working on successful projects for statewide and county agencies across Hawaii• Client facing leadership, serving as the point of contact, facilitating design/production meetings, and supporting proposal development• Working knowledge of applicable state and county design standardsIdeally, here’s what you’ll also have: • Proven experience managing multi-discipline teams of design, scientific, and technology professionals • Strong networks and relationships with the County of Maui and State of Hawaii• Strong proposal and technical writing skills• Active in a professional organization • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
