Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy interventions to address orthopedic injuries and conditions, ensuring alignment with prescribed treatment plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring accurate execution of therapy protocols and interventions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their functional capabilities through diagnostic testing for muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Assess patients' home environments and recommend modifications or adaptive equipment that encourage independence and safety.
• Deliver hands-on therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and the use of physical agents such as traction and massage.
• Write and update clinical records that include initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries compliant with OASIS standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary case conferences, collaborating closely with other healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes.
• Actively monitor and document changes in patient conditions and responses to therapy, making recommendations for care plan modifications.
• Provide education to patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, home exercise programs, and the proper use of physical therapy devices.
• Perform functional assessments on-site and ensure appropriate adjustments are made to care plans as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work with a diverse clientele, ranging from athletes needing rehabilitation to elderly patients requiring assistance with mobility issues. Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, demonstrating advanced education and training in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
