Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-time Position

Group Rehabilitation Spine and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in New York City. This full-time role allows you to work closely with patients on their journey to recovery, helping them regain their mobility and achieve their personal best in functional movement. Located in the heart of New York, Group Rehabilitation Spine and Sports Medicine specializes in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services. Our facility boasts 5,000 square feet of advanced resources dedicated to sports medicine and orthopedic care. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality services to our patients, primarily through private medical insurance channels. Our team consists of three skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all committed to ensuring that our patients receive personalized and effective treatment.

Work Environment

This position is an onsite role within our modern rehabilitation center, designed to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Our facility is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities to ensure optimal patient outcomes, creating a supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient goals and movement deficits, ensuring customized treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing direct patient care using a variety of orthopedic treatment techniques.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer effective therapeutic interventions to enhance mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Educate patients on injury prevention and wellness strategies to promote long-term health outcomes.
• Encourage patient engagement and adherence to treatment protocols by providing motivation and support during sessions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Document all patient interactions and progress in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards using EMR software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic rehabilitation, catering to a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient presents unique challenges and motivations, allowing you to tailor your approach and foster meaningful therapeutic relationships aimed at enhancing their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• DPT Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current and valid New York Physical Therapist License, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy and exercise prescriptions.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), preferably with experience in WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, preferably with a focus on sports medicine.
• Skills in patient education and motivational interviewing.
• Previous experience working within a collaborative healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
