Associate Attorney

Overview A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney in Newport Beach, California, with remote flexibility. This role focuses on general liability litigation and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex civil cases within a collaborative legal team. Responsibilities Handle general liability litigation matters, including premises liability, products liability, personal injury, and related cases. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to requests. Take and defend depositions. Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy. Communicate with clients and collaborate with attorneys and staff. Manage cases across state and federal courts. Requirements 2 to 5 years of civil litigation experience. Experience in premises liability, products liability, or personal injury preferred. Ability to manage multiple cases independently and collaboratively. Experience with discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in California. Strong legal research and writing abilities. Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Organizational and time management skills. Ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities. Team-oriented with a proactive approach.
