The Impact you will have in this role:Being a member of DTCC Digital Assets, the Product Owner Associate will play a critical role in delivering blockchain-enabled applications for the financial sector by translating business needs into clear, testable requirements that engineering teams can build with speed and confidence. You will operate at the intersection of business objectives and technical execution partnering with product, engineering, and operations to define workflows, prioritize delivery, and ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, and compliance expectations. In this role, you will help drive DTCC Digital Assets’ ability to deliver value through iterative, agile execution, improving clarity of scope, reducing rework, and accelerating delivery of application-layer capabilities built on top of blockchain and smart contracts. Your Primary Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering & AnalysisPartner with business users, domain experts, product, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document requirements for blockchain-based applications and workflowsConduct interviews, workshops, and document/process analysis to understand current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automationHelp clarify how requirements translate into application behavior, including interactions with smart contracts and supporting systems (on-chain/off-chain patterns)Requirement Documentation & Backlog QualityProduce detailed requirement artifacts such as use cases, user stories, process flows, data models, and (where relevant) smart contract event schemasDefine acceptance criteria, testable outcomes, and edge cases, ensuring requirements are unambiguous and implementation-readyMaintain traceability from business goals epics user stories test cases to support transparency and qualityTransform requirements into an actionable Jira backlog; support grooming and ensure backlog items remain current and delivery-orientedStakeholder Management & Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as a liaison across stakeholders (product, engineering, operations, and other partners), facilitating discussions and building alignment on scope, priorities, and tradeoffsCommunicate status, risks, dependencies, and changes clearly, helping teams resolve conflicts and maintain momentumAgile Delivery (Scrum)Work within an Agile development framework and actively participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives, standups as needed)Help ensure delivery remains aligned to business outcomes by supporting prioritization and maintaining high-quality requirements entering the sprintSolution Design Support & ValidationCollaborate with engineers and product partners to translate business requirements into functional specifications, with attention to on-chain/off-chain integrations and compliance controls where applicableSupport validation and acceptance testing by defining scenarios, reviewing outcomes against requirements, and helping collect audit-ready evidence when requiredContinuous ImprovementGather feedback from end users and stakeholders, evaluate solution performance against expected outcomes/KPIs and non-functional needs, and recommend iterative enhancements**NOTE: The Primary Responsibilities of this role are not limited to the details above. **Qualifications:Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Product Owner working directly with engineering teams on blockchain or smart contract–based applications, including writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing Jira backlogsBachelor’s degree (preferred) in business administration, finance, computer science, or a related fieldTalents Needed for Success:Ability to foster a culture where honesty and transparency are expectedStrong collaboration skills across business and technology teams; able to build consensus among stakeholders with competing prioritiesStrong analytical and documentation skills able to write clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteriaWorking understanding of blockchain concepts and how applications integrate with smart contracts and on-chain/off-chain systemsExperience with Agile delivery and backlog management (Scrum ceremonies, refinement, prioritization)We offer top class training and development for you to be an asset in our organization!The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
