As an Automotive General Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and in the lives of our team members and customers every day. The General Sales Manager primary role is to assist the General Manager with overseeing and driving both people and financial success in variable operations. Demonstrated leadership abilities Hands on active manager that is involved in all aspects of the sales process Work with general manager, sales team, and finance management team to meet monthly new, used, and F&I objectives Assist with inventory management for both new and used car departments Track record of developing and mentoring sales consultants, F&I managers and other sales managers Must possess a strong track record of superior results in a high volume dealership Excellent customer service (CSI) history Must be willing to and able to consistently work the sales desk and customers turn overs Our GSM's are expected to lead from the front lines, manage and oversee activities of variable operations Must be a highly detailed process driven leader and be able to hold the staff accountable for results Assist sales managers with ensuring volume commitments to the manufacturer are met Partner with the General Manager and meet with managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives, and to review actual performance Develop and maintain a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel Communicates management policies and procedures to all Team Members' attitudes and build morale Hire, train, supervise and monitor performance of sales associates and managers (new, used and finance) Motivate, reward, and train employees Strong asset management skills required Responsible for making sure CIT list is resolved before deadlines Lead by example and ensure that the core values of the company are encompassed in behavior at all times Other duties to be determined by management 5-8 years of automotive experience preferred Strong used car management skills preferred Proven track record and experience as a sales consultant, F&I Manager and Used or New Sales Manager required Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test) Company Benefits: Pay and Recognition: Semi Monthly pay Paid holidays & paid time off Paid training Stock Awards (select management and front-line team member's eligible) Insurance / Retirement: Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plans Up to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave) Paid Parental Leave Health savings Flex spending accounts (tax free) Short-term and Long-term disability plans Life Insurance (Whole Life and Term) 401k with company match Learning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development: Digital career path tool to assist with career development Continuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management System Professional growth and development opportunities Additional advantages: Student loan relief resources Employee assistance program Employee discounts on parts and service repairs Scholarship awards Opportunities to join our community service initiatives, which includes paid volunteer hours Aggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunities Asbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
