Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a); most shifts needed on weekends; schedule is not set and shifts are sporadic with typically 2-3 months advance notice
• Job Setting: Inpatient; In-House Call; OB/GYN ED coverage
• Types of Cases:
  • Low and high risk pregnancy
  • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
  • OB Ultrasounds (Level I and Level II)
  • Amniocentesis
  • Routine deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section)
  • Complicated deliveries (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs)
  • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  • Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
  • Surgical gynecology open and laparoscopic (diagnostic/minor and operative/major)
  • Average of 5-6 ED patients per day
• Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe is 120 days; temporary privileges are not available
• EMR System: Epic

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Licensure: Mississippi or IMLC
