We’re a manufacturing company specializing in electronic components and equipment used in industrial and commercial applications. Our operations bring together purchasing, inventory management, production, and customer fulfillment to deliver reliable products to businesses across a range of industries.
We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to support the financial side of these operations, with responsibilities spanning vendor invoices, payment processing, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll work across daily accounting functions while helping ensure transactions are accurate, discrepancies are resolved, and financial records stay organized.
What You'll Do
- Review and process vendor invoices in NetSuite, ensuring proper coding, supporting documentation, and accurate entry.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and receiving records to verify quantities, pricing, and other details before processing payments.
- Coordinate vendor payments, monitor invoice due dates, and maintain organized records of payment activity and outstanding items.
- Apply incoming customer payments, review account activity, and ensure receivables transactions are accurately recorded.
- Reconcile accounts and financial transactions, investigate variances, and follow through on discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to clarify invoice questions, obtain missing documentation, and resolve billing issues.
- Use Excel to organize transaction data, review financial records, track outstanding items, and support account reconciliations.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation within NetSuite and other internal systems.
- Assist with routine accounting reports and work directly with the Controller on daily priorities and improvements to accounting procedures.
What We're Looking For
- 1 year of experience in accounts payable/accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with three-way matching.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using NetSuite.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to working with internal teams and external vendors.
