Bookkeeper / Accounting SpecialistCheck you match the skill requirements for this role, as well as associated experience, then apply with your CV below.Northfield, IL | Onsite | Direct Hire | $25–$30/hourAre you an experienced bookkeeper who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and being an important part of a team?TalentFish is hiring a Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist for an established, family-owned service and installation company in Northfield, IL.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting, takes pride in accuracy, and prefers a collaborative, close-knit work environment.What You'll Be Doing:Managing day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivablePreparing customer invoices and applying deposits and paymentsReconciling bank and credit card accountsRecording transactions and maintaining accurate financial recordsSupporting month-end reporting and general ledger activitiesWorking with the service and operations teams to ensure accurate billingCommunicating with customers and vendors to resolve billing questionsWhat We're Looking For:At least 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceSolid knowledge of AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and basic general ledger accountingExperience with accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication skills and dependable follow-throughEven Better If You Have:QuickBooks experienceExperience with a small business, contractor, or service companyFamiliarity with job-based billing, work orders, or customer depositsCompensation & Benefits:$25–$30/hour, depending on experienceFull-time, direct-hire opportunityHealth insurance and paid time offEstablished, family-owned companyLocation: Northfield, IL — 100% onsite.
