Beverage Manager
il Buco Alimentari & Vineria opened in 2011 as a casual dining offshoot of il Buco, and has since earned a 3-star review from the NY Times. We specialize in house-made salumi, breads, pasta, and pastries, offering ambitious and inspired employees the opportunity to train at several different stations, learning multiple skills. We use locally-sourced ingredients from our partner farms upstate, as well as the highest quality specialty ingredients imported from Sicily to provide a truly unique dining experience for our guests.

il Buco Alimentari is looking for a Beverage Manager to join our team!
We are looking for experienced managers, with extensive beverage knowledge and experience with ordering, inventory management and upkeep.
The beverage manager will be in charge of the maintenance of beverage for the location as well as overseeing service. They will have bottom-line responsibility and accountability for the fiscal health of the restaurant and must be the "face" of the restaurant by adhering to these position responsibilities:
- Restaurant Operations
- Oversee the floor by interacting with guests and staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist in wine sales and service
- Maintain inventory to healthy numbers
- Liaise with BOH to ensure that communication between FOH and BOH is continual.
- Work with hourly beverage teams to roll out new offerings
- Oversee tip reporting and assist with payroll efforts
- Daily walk-through to inspect the restaurant and ensure physical plant upkeep.
- Ensure equipment (FOH/BOH) maintenance and cleanliness.
- Guide, direct, and train service staff; observe the flow of guests, and provide assistance when necessary
- Personally involve self with the service of VIP tables
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding the pace of service, special needs, and general guest satisfaction
- Hire and Train the staff to have comprehensive knowledge of the menu, wine list, and service standards
- Maintain a healthy, happy, and productive work environment for employees to foster loyalty and dedication
