Role Description The Service Advisor role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In this role, the Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and the service department, greeting guests, understanding their vehicle concerns, and clearly explaining recommended services and repairs. Daily responsibilities include creating and updating repair orders, coordinating with technicians on diagnostics and timelines, and communicating status updates to customers. The Service Advisor reviews estimates, secures approvals, and ensures all work is completed accurately while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Additional duties include scheduling appointments, verifying warranty and service contract coverage, processing payments, and supporting dealership service initiatives and performance goals. Qualifications Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to listen actively, explain technical information in clear terms, and build long-term customer relationships. Automotive service knowledge and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to interpret repair recommendations, prioritize work, and support accurate diagnostics. Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple repair orders, schedule service efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with dealership management systems, service scheduling tools, and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and documentation software). Collaborative skills to work effectively with technicians, parts personnel, and sales teams, supporting a coordinated and high-quality service experience. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and a positive customer experience. Prior experience in automotive service advising, customer-facing retail, or related fields preferred; ASE certifications or manufacturer training are a plus.
