Job Description
We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to provide hands-on technical support for end users in Indiana. This short-term (60 days) contract position is ideal for someone with strong Microsoft Windows troubleshooting skills who can resolve day-to-day desktop, account, and ticket-based support issues efficiently. The role focuses on delivering responsive service, maintaining user access, and ensuring a reliable computing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line and desktop support for hardware, software, and Windows-related issues reported by employees.
• Diagnose technical problems, identify root causes, and complete timely resolutions for routine and moderately complex support requests.
• Manage incoming service desk tickets, document troubleshooting steps, and keep issue records accurate and up to date.
• Support user account administration tasks, including password resets, access changes, and directory updates within Active Directory.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows 10 systems, standard desktop applications, and peripheral devices.
• Escalate unresolved incidents when needed and work with other technical teams to ensure issues are fully addressed.
• Deliver attentive end-user assistance in person, by phone, or through remote support tools while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• At least 2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar end-user support environment.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory for basic account maintenance and access-related support.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting for desktop software, hardware, and user access issues.
• Experience managing and updating service desk tickets in a structured support process.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
