What You Will Do In this senior specialty representative role you will be the primary contact for medical professionals, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products and navigating the complex payer environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and communicate clinical benefits to drive appropriate utilization. Lead sales efforts to achieve territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. Develop and manage accounts, customizing discussions and customer interactions, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining contracts. Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze the effectiveness of sales activities, and develop territory plans with the District Manager. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continue learning as a Senior Specialty Representative. Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients. What We Expect of You Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. Associate degree and 6 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field that is not sales related. Preferred Qualifications More than 3 years of sales, marketing, or clinical experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical device, or medical supply industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, bone health, respiratory, hematology, or infectious diseases. Advanced influencing and relationship-building skills with a focus on sales outcomes. Local market knowledge. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Adaptability with core competencies: Sales Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; Cultivating Internal and External Relationships. What You Can Expect of Us The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $115,036 - $155,638. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
