Job Overview

Bloomingdale's, Like No Other Store In The World, is seeking an experienced Utility Person/Dishwasher.  If you are enthusiastic about pursuing a career in the restaurant business and would like to be part of the team that delivers an outstanding experience to our upscale clientele, we might be just the place for you.

All hourly associates are eligible to receive a quarterly bonus incentive, colleague discounts and the opportunity to be a part of an iconic brand. Certain criteria must be met to receive the quarterly bonus incentive.

Essential Functions

\n

\n
• Set Up, operate and break down a commercial dishwashing unit.
\n
• Wash all pots and pans as needed.
\n
• Restock and maintain areas for china, silver and small-wares.
\n
• Properly clean and close kitchen at end-of-day.
\n
• General cleaning of restaurant and work station.
\n
• Daily beverage station set-up.
\n
• Stocking and organizing supplies.
\n

Qualifications and Competencies

\n

\n
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
\n
• No experience required. 
\n
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and learn new procedures.
\n
• A team player who possesses the ability to work in a learning environment.
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management.
\n
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, extended hours and key event days.
\n
• General knowledge of cleaning procedures.
\n
• Prior restaurant/kitchen industry experience preferred.
\n
