Turn Expertise into Income as a Hot Water Systems Sales & Installation Specialist

Hourly base + weekly commissions and the satisfaction of helping customers choose the right solution—this role blends hands-on technical work with consultative selling.

A Day in the Life

You start the morning with a stocked service vehicle and scheduled calls across residential and commercial sites. On arrival, you diagnose hot water issues, explain options clearly, and present pricing with confidence. When the customer says “let’s do it,” you complete a professional installation—gas, electric, or tankless—meeting code and safety standards. Between calls, you coordinate with dispatch, update documentation, and keep your truck organized. At day’s end, you review a call using AI-powered sales coaching tools to sharpen your approach for tomorrow. Some days include urgent, after-hours needs—overtime happens because hot water emergencies can’t wait.

What You’ll Own

• Serve as a trusted advisor and technician: diagnose, recommend, and sell water heaters, filtration systems, and upgrades
• Present choices, value, and pricing to close sales on-site
• Install gas, electric, and tankless units to code; perform repairs and maintenance
• Educate customers on efficiency, performance, and long-term value
• Maintain truck inventory, complete accurate job documentation, and leave every site clean
• Partner with dispatch and installers to finish jobs on time
• Follow company safety policies; work overtime as needed for urgent calls

What You Bring

• Comfort selling—confident presenting options and asking for the sale
• At least 1 year of relevant field experience (plumbing background preferred)
• Strong communicator with excellent customer service
• Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform field work
• Coachable, growth-minded, and open to feedback
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per company policy
