Registered Nurse - Critical Care UnitThis is a 13-week contract position.12-hour night shifts, with weekends as scheduled.The critical care unit has 20 beds and consists of a diverse patient population. Approximately 30-50% of patients will be COVID positive, while others may be experiencing cardiac issues post-angioplasty, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, or complications from abdominal/bowel surgeries.Nurses may be float to work within this unit but are expected to spend 98% of their time in the critical care environment. Care for COVID patients will be required due to the current patient demographics.Deliver nursing care to critically ill patients, including those with COVID-19.Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement care plans.Provide education and support to patients and their families.Current nursing license.ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.Experience in ICU settings is preferred but not mandatory.At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
