Responsibilities This position is responsible for the billing process, which includes the review and preparation of all hospital claims. Ensures the hospital bills a clean claim to the correct third party payor so that the turn around time for payment is minimal and a positive cash flow is maintained for the hospital. Performs follow-up until a payment or rejection is received. Working in conjunction with other finance departments, displaying initiative, efficiency and correcting problems so that all customer expectations are met. Requirements Education and Work Experience: Education and Work Experience: Must possess a high school diploma or GED 1 year preferred Carefirst experience preferred but not required Min USD $19.49/Hr. Max USD $32.16/Hr. Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
