Job Description

This role involves performing TIG welding, spot welding, brazing, and related metal assembly tasks on a variety of components in a manufacturing environment. You will use welding equipment, hand tools, and measuring instruments to produce high-quality parts that meet strict specifications and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding, spot welding, brazing, and soldering on a variety of metal components and assemblies.

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine welding and assembly requirements.

• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently according to job specifications.

• Inspect welds and finished assemblies to ensure they meet quality, safety, and production standards.

• Assemble metal parts and components using appropriate hand and power tools.

• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify dimensions and tolerances.

• Perform minor equipment maintenance and promptly report any machine issues or malfunctions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety procedures.

• Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and manufacturing guidelines.

• Meet daily production goals and deadlines while maintaining high workmanship standards.

• Assist with other manufacturing and assembly duties as needed to support production operations.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1–3 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

• Hands-on experience with TIG welding, spot welding, and brazing.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

• Ability to set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with soldering and related metal joining techniques.

• Comfort using a variety of hand and power tools for metal assembly.

• Familiarity with production workflows and meeting daily output targets.

• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work area.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility with a standard daytime shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You will work in a production area that uses welding equipment, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments. The environment requires adherence to safety procedures, use of appropriate protective gear, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northridge, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
