Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Neuro Med-Surg Telemetry – Maryland

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday required

Highlights:

• 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry unit in a Certified Stroke Center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• 1:5 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Experience with CVA, ischemic stroke, epilepsy, seizures, post-neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Utilize continuous bedside EEG monitoring, telemetry, and bladder scanning technology
• Cerner EMR system with opportunities to float to Med-Surg and Med-Surg/Telemetry units within scope
• Teaching hospital environment with preferred Level I or Level II trauma experience; first-time travelers and local candidates welcome

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Neurology experience required; CVA/acute stroke care and pre/post-neurosurgery experience required
• Experience with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, feeding tube care, pre/post-hemodialysis care, and renal failure required
• ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required; TCRN preferred
• Basic EKG testing through Prophecy Relias required and must be successfully completed before orientation
• Maryland-approved trauma education required by week 27
• 8 hours annual stroke continuing education and 4 hours annual trauma-related continuing education required
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
