We are expanding our IT team and looking for talented professionals who are passionate about technology, problem-solving, and delivering excellent customer support.

ParaTech, a well established leader in the technology based services and one of the largest technology firms in the area has immediate openings for Tier III engineers in the New Orleans market.

We’re looking for versatile IT professionals who can provide both advanced helpdesk support and on-site technical service. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who thrives in solving complex problems remotely while also enjoying hands-on work in the field.

Responsibilities

• Core Responsibilities

  Advanced Technical Support

• Serve as the highest escalation point for complex technical issues unresolved by Tier I and Tier II engineers.

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for hardware, software, and network-related incidents across client environments.

• Deliver support through multiple channels including phone, email, remote management tools, and on-site visits when required.

• Infrastructure Support

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, servers, and related peripherals.

• Deploy and maintain core infrastructure components including networking equipment, security appliances, and server systems.

• Configure and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, wireless networks, printers, and other network-connected devices.

• Project Implementation

• Participate in and lead infrastructure projects such as server deployments, network upgrades, and system migrations.

• Perform on-site implementation and support activities at client locations.

• Ensure project work follows established technical standards and documentation requirements.

• Technical Documentation & Process Compliance

• Accurately document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and project work within the ticketing and documentation systems.

• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of client environments, configurations, and procedures.

• Follow established escalation and change management processes.

• Client Relationship Management

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients by providing professional, clear, and timely communication.

• Deliver exceptional customer service both remotely and during on-site engagements.

• Maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction and long-term relationship building.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT support , including helpdesk and/or field service roles.

• Demonstrated experience resolving complex technical issues across multiple technology domains.

• Technical Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments .

• Proficiency with Active Directory administration .

• Experience managing Microsoft 365 environments .

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals , including:

  • TCP/IP

  • DNS

  • DHCP

  • VPN technologies

• Hands-on experience with servers, network infrastructure, and system deployments .

• Troubleshooting & Problem Solving

• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues spanning endpoints, servers, networks, and cloud services.

• Customer Service Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical users.

• Mobility Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Reliable transportation for on-site client visits.

• Certifications (Preferred)

• CompTIA A+

• CompTIA Network+

• CompTIA Security+

• Microsoft certifications

• Cisco certifications

• Required Qualifications
