As the Environmental Services Supervisor at Colonial Pines Healthcare Center in San Augustine, TX, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility’s Housekeeping and Maintenance departments to ensure a clean, safe, sanitary, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position provides leadership and direction to Environmental Services employees, coordinates housekeeping and maintenance activities, monitors work quality, manages departmental schedules and supplies, and ensures the facility remains prepared for regulatory inspections and operational needs. Job Responsibilities Environmental Services & Housekeeping Supervise daily housekeeping operations throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining areas, bathrooms, and other assigned spaces. Establish and maintain cleaning schedules, assignments, and departmental standards. Conduct routine inspections to ensure areas are clean, sanitary, odor-free, and properly maintained. Ensure appropriate cleaning and disinfecting procedures are followed, particularly in accordance with infection prevention practices. Monitor housekeeping staff performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action when necessary. Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and use of cleaning chemicals and supplies. Maintain adequate inventory of housekeeping supplies and communicate supply needs to administration. Respond promptly to environmental concerns identified by residents, families, staff, or leadership. Coordinate deep-cleaning and special cleaning projects as needed. Maintenance Operations Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance personnel. Ensure routine and preventive maintenance is completed throughout the facility. Monitor building systems, equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, doors, flooring, and other facility components. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and repairs. Respond to maintenance emergencies and safety concerns in a timely manner. Coordinate outside contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required. Monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure required inspections and servicing are completed. Identify facility deficiencies and communicate significant repairs or capital needs to the Administrator. Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including facility emergency equipment and systems. Qualifications Five years of experience in institutional maintenance. Previous long-term care/healthcare industry experience preferred. Knowledge of long-term care Life Safety Code requirements preferred. Basic technology skills to include computer, website, email, and mobile phone usage to facilitate communication and use of the TELS system. General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety and other relates systems. Basic carpentry and hardware knowledge. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Regular, predictable, and dependable attendance.
