UPDATE: 6/23/26:  Thanks in part to ZipRecruiter, we have hired: one manager. Two full time clerks who may become head clerks. We have also promoted one current employee to full time head clerk.  We have space for one more full time clerk, most likely focusing on the Lauderhill area (after training.) This could eventually lead to a head clerk position, but all three head clerk positions are considered filled for now.

Managing a record store with 3 locations in Broward County, South Florida. Ideal candidate will have retail management (or at least supervisory) experience. If you have some big box retail experience, we probably speak the same language. You will be required to work at all 3 locations (they are 20 minutes apart - one in Oakland Park, one in Dania Beach, and one in Lauderhill) but your "home base" would be closest to you. When you are working at one location, you are responsible to check in on the other stores and make sure they are prioritizing tasks correctly. The owner is from New Jersey originally - we do not work at a "Florida pace." We help customers with a sense of urgency. Customer service is a huge priority - this is not like the movies (High Fidelity, etc.) If you have management skills, we can teach you the record business, but some interest in music is definitely helpful! Salary commensurate with experience.

We also need multiple supervisors, head clerks, and clerks. (Please mention which position when you reply.) Only full-time, preferably with few scheduling restrictions. Clerks start at minimum wage ($14/hour, going up to $15 in September.) Can be trained to head clerk (organizational position) for more. Supervisors make more than head clerk. Full time benefits: sick days, paid vacation after 1 year. Medical insurance (so far) has never made sense for a company of our size with few full-timers; everyone (including the owner) could get a better deal on the ACA Marketplace. We can discuss the company contributing to your monthly payments on the Marketplace after the first 90 days.

These jobs are a lot of work. Sometimes described as working in an office and a warehouse inside of a retail store. Customer service, ringing up customers, answering phones and social media questions, making social media posts, shipping out orders from our own site and other sites, inventory management, ordering, etc. Detail oriented. Gotta be smart, or it will be difficult to learn.
