Field Coordinator

Field CoordinatorAs a Field Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing coordination, and delivery of YMCA field-based programs, events, and activities. This role ensures the safety, organization, and positive experience of participants while upholding the YMCA's mission and core values.Wage: $20.00 to $20.75 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per weekLocation: Tom Taylor Family YMCA, Gig Harbor, WAQualifications:Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).Committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.Must be at least 18 years of age.2 years of experience working with youth, sports, or outdoor programs is highly preferred.High school diploma or equivalent required, some college coursework preferred.Ability to work based on program and event needs, including evenings and weekends, is required.Demonstrated self-starter with professional communication and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and positive environment.Ability to work with all age groups and ability levels.Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.Able to obtain and maintain valid CPR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and support field rentals and programs, ensuring proper setup, supervision, rental transitions, and compliance with YMCA safety and program standards.Assist in the execution of recreational, educational, or enrichment activities, ensuring they are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with YMCA goals.Serve as the on-site point of contact for participants, families, and program staff.Communicate updates, concerns, and incidents promptly to the Program Director.Regularly utilize field rental software to schedule and coordinate multiple rental entities or programs, attendance tracking, and program documentation.Monitor all field activities for safety compliance.
