Commercial Real Estate Associate

Overview The practice represents developers, investors, lenders, REITs, business owners, and hospitality companies in commercial real estate transactions across North Carolina, South Carolina, and beyond. The practice regularly advises clients on a broad range of matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, financing, and complex real estate issues involving various asset classes. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, financing agreements, easements, loan documents, and other deal documents. The role involves conducting and managing due diligence, including title and survey review, and resolving real estate-related issues. Associates assist lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and business owners in sophisticated financing transactions, and manage transactions from contract through closing. Requires active membership in good standing with the North Carolina or South Carolina Bar.
