Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative I serves as a primary point of contact for members and healthcare providers contacting Santa Clara Family Health Plan with questions, concerns, or requests for information.

This position works in a high-volume call center environment , handling inbound and outbound calls while providing accurate information about health plan services, eligibility, medical and pharmacy benefits, and access to care.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, reliable, culturally competent, and comfortable working with healthcare-related questions and multiple computer systems.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service or call center experience .
• Healthcare, public assistance, or human services experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-volume call center environment.
• Ability to meet established Customer Service Call Center Quality Program performance standards.
• Strong computer skills and ability to efficiently use:
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
• Moderate keyboarding speed with a high level of accuracy.
