Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical (Neuro)

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Weekends Required | No Block Scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical Neurology unit during day shift hours
• Manage and monitor neurological patients, applying NIHSS assessment skills as part of routine care
• Care for step-down level patients as needed in addition to standard med/surg assignments
• Accurately document all patient care activities and assessments using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• Neuro experience required
• NIHSS certification required — must be documented in candidate profile/CV
• ACLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR — must be noted on profile

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Step-down unit experience
• Strong clinical assessment skills with complex, high-acuity neurological patients
• Experience working in a fast-paced acute care environment
