Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

Join an innovative inpatient setting that focuses on comprehensive family medicine care across a wide age range. This is a locum tenens position forecasted to last for a year, catering primarily to adult patients within a psychiatric unit. With a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, you'll be a vital part of a dynamic team dedicated to quality healthcare delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive family medicine services in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
Independently manage patient care primarily for adult patients, with some pediatric cases starting at age 10.
Provide detailed patient assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

Must be a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC).
Minimum of 2 years of independent practice experience in Massachusetts.
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
CPI training is required.

Working Hours

Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.

Skills

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in family medicine.
Ability to work independently within an inpatient psychiatric environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficient with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard healthcare technologies.
