Serving Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties, you will build and strengthen relationships with community partner organizations, identify organizations to participate in the program, and provide ongoing support to partners working to reach underserved and under-resourced communities. This is a highly collaborative role where your ability to build trust, communicate effectively, and understand the needs of diverse communities will directly support access to health care across the region. A major focus of this position is community engagement and program coordination. You will organize and facilitate informational sessions, trainings, community forums, and presentations on OHP, health care access, Social Determinants of Health, Medicaid policy, and other health-related topics. You will provide technical assistance to community partners, monitor grant activities and outcomes, help identify and address challenges, and coordinate outreach efforts to ensure communities have access to effective services. You will also represent OHA with community leaders, health care providers, Coordinated Care Organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers, schools, local governments, and other stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with communities, developing partnerships, solving problems, and serving as a trusted representative of a public health program. The ROC works in a highly visible environment and will regularly communicate with community partners, OHA and DHS staff, health care providers, and Oregonians. Extensive regional and statewide travel is required, with occasional overnight and out-of-state travel, as well as evening and weekend work when needed.
