Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU/Telemetry

As a PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and caring for assigned patients. Your responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care, as well as assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.

Role Responsibilities:

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions and document care provided.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice.
• Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Utilize experience and judgment to effectively plan and accomplish care goals.
• Adapt to a variety of tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Arizona.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a PCU or telemetry setting.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the nursing field.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.
• Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1.
• Must be willing to float between departments and multiple locations within the region.
• Experience with cardiac drips and knowledge of TAVRs and Watchman mitral clips is necessary.

Schedule and Availability:

• Night shifts (7 PM to 7:30 AM) with 3 shifts per week.
• Work required weekend shifts as outlined in the schedule.
