Project Manager

Project Manager Level: Journeyman | Work Location: On-Site - Arlington, VA This position is contingent upon contract award. About the Role Red Carrot is seeking a Journeyman Project Manager to serve as the single point of contact and overall lead on a high-visibility federal communications and support services contract. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing a large, diverse team across multiple task areas supporting the customer’s External Affairs office. Key Responsibilities Serve as the single point of contact for the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for all contract matters Provide centralized administration and management for all tasks identified in the Statement of Work Prepare a Task Order Project Management Plan within 10 business days of the kickoff meeting, describing the technical approach, organizational resources, and management controls Conduct routine, ongoing communications with identified federal points of contact for the duration of the contract Participate in regularly scheduled meetings to provide updates on work in progress, discuss issues, and resolve matters as they arise Identify and recommend procedure changes to maintain efficient and effective management of leadership engagement activities Ensure contractually required staffing levels are maintained at all times; coordinate replacements and notify the COR of any absences Provide monthly progress reports to the Contracting Officer and COR including labor hours by category, direct costs, technical progress, schedule status, and travel Be available to the COR via telephone between 8:00am and 4:30pm ET, Monday through Friday, and respond to technical issues within 2 hours of notification Minimum Qualifications BA/BS required; MA or MBA preferred Currently holds, or is able to obtain, the required government Fitness Determination Demonstrated experience managing multi-task federal contracts with diverse teams across communications, creative, and administrative disciplines Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently Experience serving as a primary contractor point of contact with government Contracting Officers and CORs Ability to work on-site at customer facilities in Arlington, VA as required Benefits at Red Carrot At Red Carrot, we empower you to be a leader.
