This locums opportunity is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant with strong OR skills, including vein harvesting experience, to support the surgical team during a provider leave.

24-hour call coverage

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting: Hospital

Cardiothoracic Surgery Department

Clinical Responsibilities:

First assisting in cardiothoracic surgery cases

Operating room support

Vein harvesting procedures

Night call coverage

Responding to patient management calls

Assisting with emergent cardiothoracic surgery cases

Collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons and surgical team

Support & Technology

Support Staff: Cardiothoracic surgical team, hospital-based clinical staff, collaborative surgical environment

Requirements

Board Certification Required

Cardiothoracic Surgery experience Required

Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner qualified for CT surgery coverage Required

Active Nebraska License Required

OR Active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Letter of Qualification (LOQ) at time of submission Required

Vein harvesting experience Required

OR first assist experience in cardiothoracic surgery Required

Clean malpractice history Highly Preferred

Epic EMR experience Highly Preferred

Local provider Preferred but not required
