Pharmacy Technician 2The purpose of this position is to provide all aspects of pharmacy technical support services under the supervision of a Cancer Center Pharmacist. This Pharmacy Technician 2 position is an integral member of the healthcare team and is responsible for providing drug dispensing and distribution activities, compounding prescriptions, maintaining pharmacy robotics, inventory management, prescription billing, processing payments for prescriptions and training other personnel. This position fosters excellent interdepartmental relationships and provides quality and cost-effective pharmaceutical care to all patients.Minimum Qualifications:California Licensed Pharmacy TechnicianAt least 2 years of recent Outpatient Pharmacy Technician experience.Knowledge of third-party insurances, Medicare Plan-B, and/or manual claims.Knowledge of current Medi-Cal Formulary and other third-party billing systems.Knowledge of current California Pharmacy Law.Working knowledge of pharmacy terminology, generic/brand name drugs and abbreviations.Key Responsibilities:75% - Drug Distribution25% - Maintain Pharmacy/Inventory ControlSalary or Pay Range: $33.41 - $41.51 Salary Frequency: Hourly Salary Grade: 290 UC Job Title: PHARMACY TCHN 2 UC Job Code: 009282 Number of Positions: 1 Appointment Type: Staff: Career Percentage of Time: 100 Shift (Work Schedule): variable, 8 hour Location: Cancer Center (HSP093) Union Representation: EX-Patient Care Technical Benefits Eligible: Yes University of California
