Electrophysiology Technologist

We Are Seeking:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team, providing essential support during electrophysiology studies and cardiac procedures. This role is ideal for someone who is patient-focused, team-driven, and adaptable to changes in a dynamic lab environment.

Complete Description:

The main function of this role is to provide assistance to the Electrophysiologist during EP studies/ablations and cardiac implants. While cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred, it is not required. Experience with Bloom stimulator is also preferred but not required. The ability to implement EP pacing maneuvers and understanding is required. Experience with Client (MacLab & CardioLab) system is required to assist in pacing maneuvers and measurements. Coordination with multiple vendors, including Carto, Client, Opal, and Affera in ablations, is necessary, and the candidate will assist in setting up. Epic is the primary tool for documenting procedures within the lab, and while experience with Epic is preferred, it is not required. The role involves communicating with MD and in-room staff to ensure all equipment and supplies are available, facilitating room turnover, and ensuring on-time starts for patient care. Coordination with the Charge Nurse and third-party vendors is essential to ensure all team members are available for scheduled procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Tech license or RN License (NY ONLY)
• 2 Years' experience

Job Certifications:

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)

Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s):

• PFA and RF ablations (Cryo ablations): A fib/Flutter, Atrial tach, AVNRT, WPW, and other ANRT ablations. (Mapping Systems include Biosense Webster Carto, Abbot EnsiteX, Boston Sci Opal, and Healthcare Affera)
• Device implants: Traditional pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV) and ICD. Sub Q ICD, Leadless ppm, Loops, & LAAC: Watchmans and Amulets.
• HRE: laser and low risk

Skills:

• 2 years experience - Required
• RCES License - Required
• BLS (AHA ONLY) - Required

Schedule:

Primarily Days with some late nights (evenings) and on-call as per unit needs. Either 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts.
