- # Associate Accounting AnalystApply: Keene, NH: Full time: Posted Today: R-268722### ## Position OverviewThe Associate Accounting Analyst assists in the accounting, planning, reporting, and analysis of assigned business activity for the company. This role performs GAAP-compliant accounting and controls for assigned areas and provides support to business partners in budget development and management.## Job Description**Description*** Prepare required recurring analysis, including explanation of variances, for finance/business partners.* Review assigned Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to ensure reasonableness and accuracy. Research abnormal situations and identify variances.* Prepare, review and process journal entries as required to accurately reflect financial activities for a given period.* Assist the business group in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts including gathering and sharing additional data in assigned areas, providing helpful trending (Prior year, actual vs. budget, etc.)* Review, and validate monthly balances to ensure they are appropriately stated in accordance with established accounting practices.* Prepare and communicate balance composition and variance analysis to management, including calling out issues.* Prepare special financial reports requested by the business group and/or Finance management.* Propose appropriate adjusting journal entries.* Review expense invoices for accuracy and proper authorization. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper approvals are in place, invoice coding accuracy & document approval chain.* Review & validate internal financial reporting for consistency with GAAP accounting principles. This includes maintaining relevant desk procedures, checklists, and checklist performance.* Collect information for third-party audits to assist with External Reporting and audits.* Travel Required:No**Environment*** Office : Office Temperature (65F to 75F)**Skills*** Specialized Knowledge : General understanding of accounting principles and GAAP* Special Skills : Proficiency in Excel; Experience with financial systems and software preferred (e.g. GL package, Financial reporting system); Ability to communicate effectively & maintain relationships; Analytical skills* Physical abilities: :* Other: :**Years Of Experience*** 1-2 : A minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role.## QualificationsBachelor's Degree - Accounting Finance## Shift## ## CompanyC&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC## About Our CompanyC&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is an industry leader in supply chain solutions and wholesale grocery supply in the United States.
